American poet with 50+ poems?

For my english honors class, we have to pick an american poet or short story writer from a traditional curriculum that we have to work with all term. This poet needs to have 50+ poems! i really wanted to find a kinda unknown poet (at least not like Hughes or Whitman) but they could either be dark like Poe or deal with nature....i love horses so i thought cowboy poetry but the poets dont have over 50 poems....any help/suggestions please! be serious guys please read the requirements ^
