Where is the Irony in the poem Woodchucks by Maxine Kumin?

HELP !!!! I have to do an analysis essay about the poem Woodchucks by Maxine Kumin. I read the poem and I can't find the irony. Except the symbolism that the poet uses in the poem what other literary techniques does Maxine Kumin uses ?? I know that Woodchucks represent Jewish people during the Holocaust by Nazi Party.
